The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall to strengthen their roster ahead of a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. This announcement was made by general manager Nick Caserio on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.

Bryce Hall, who is 28 years old, previously played for the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft as the 158th overall pick, Hall has started in 26 of 40 games, recording 122 total tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.

His height of 6-foot-1 adds to his versatility, and he is expected to improve the special teams unit, an area where the Texans are looking to make gains.

Currently, the Texans are dealing with several injuries in their secondary, with players like Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan sidelined. These injury concerns could affect the team's special teams performance, making Hall's signing timely as he aims to provide valuable depth and experience. Further updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury status are expected as the preseason continues.
