Trevon Diggs, a former All-Pro cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This deal follows the Seahawks' earlier signing of cornerback Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing significant legal challenges in Florida.
At the age of 27, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes throughout his career. He is expected to compete for a role in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently dealing with injuries.
Previously, Diggs had signed a five-year contract extension worth $97 million with the Cowboys in July 2023. However, he participated in just 22 of 51 regular-season games over the subsequent three seasons. His tenure with Dallas concluded following several incidents, including an unusual home accident where he reported that a television fell on him, resulting in a prolonged absence in 2025.
After requesting to stay in the D.C. area with his family post a Christmas Day game, the Cowboys denied his request and subsequently waived him. He was then picked up by the Green Bay Packers shortly after being released from Dallas. Details regarding Diggs' role with the Seahawks and the team's plans remain undisclosed.
