The Dallas Cowboys have secured a one-year contract with Von Miller, recognized as the NFL’s active leader in career sacks. Miller announced the signing through an Instagram post, expressing his enthusiasm with the words, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
A DeSoto, Texas native, Miller has deep connections to the region, having played college football at Texas A&M. He is entering his 15th NFL season, following a year with the Washington Commanders, where he tallied 26 tackles and nine sacks across 17 games.
Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion, won titles with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He was selected second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos and has also played for the Buffalo Bills.
With a total of 138.5 career sacks, he is now tied for 13th place all-time with Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, a former Cowboy.
Throughout his career, Miller has recorded 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles in 203 games. His honors include eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro recognitions. The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 against the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
