He pitched five innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out nine batters. His outing included one walk and earned him the win, improving his record to 9-7.
The Rangers’ bullpen maintained the lead after Eovaldi exited. Tyler Alexander, Peyton Gray, and Robby Ahlstrom each pitched two-thirds of an inning without surrendering an earned run, combining for three strikeouts and two walks. Cole Winn and Gavin Collyer closed the game, with Winn allowing one earned run in his inning and Collyer securing the final out with a strikeout.
Tigers’ Offense Struggles
Detroit’s pitching staff faced significant challenges throughout the contest. Framber Valdez took the loss after five innings, giving up five earned runs on nine hits with two walks and one strikeout. His record fell to 4-6.

The Tigers’ offense was unable to generate consistent production against Eovaldi and the Rangers’ defense.
