A 57-year-old man from Anna, Charles Dewayne Ford, has been charged with several drug offenses following an investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force. The task force, in collaboration with Kentucky Probation and Parole, acted on a complaint regarding drug trafficking at Ford's residence on Anneta Road on July 2, 2026.

Law enforcement officials reported finding a marijuana grow operation in Ford's closet, along with packaged methamphetamine believed to be intended for sale and approximately $2,000 in cash. During the investigation, Ford allegedly attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a Ziploc bag and hiding it under other items in his closet.

Additionally, officers discovered a notebook containing information related to suspected drug trafficking and marijuana cultivation. Ford was subsequently arrested and taken to the Grayson County Detention Center.

He faces multiple charges, including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for possessing two grams or more of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana (five plants or more) as a second or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

Ford is a convicted felon, having been previously convicted in September 2022 for trafficking in methamphetamine in Edmonson County, and is currently on probation until 2030. The investigation into his activities is ongoing, and further details have not yet been disclosed.
