A Sprouts Farmers Market is coming to Anna, the city announced Saturday, with the grocer slated as the anchor of a planned project where US Highway 75 meets Rosamond.
The city's announcement, published by North Texas e-News, describes the store as a ground-up, build-to-suit project valued at $4,940,000. The building would cover 23,256 square feet. Work is scheduled to begin Dec. 7, and the city lists Sept. 24, 2027, as the target finish date, which would put an opening in late summer or early fall of next year.
Those figures match a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which reviews commercial buildings for accessibility. The state record, titled "Sprouts Farmers Market - Anna, TX #0727," was opened June 5 and now shows its review as complete.
It lists the location as US Hwy 75 and Rosamond Dr, calls the job new construction that is privately funded on private land, and gives the same start and completion dates the city cited. Dates in these filings are estimates supplied by the applicant and can shift.
The property owner named in the filing is PXTX Anna SPT, LP, with an address in Brentwood, Tennessee. The building was designed by Cuhaci Peterson, an architecture firm based in Maitland, Florida.
