TCU could have wide receiver Jordan Dwyer available for its Sept. 26 Big 12 opener against UCF. Dwyer has missed the Horned Frogs’ first three games of the 2026 season because of a foot injury.
Coach Sonny Dykes provided the update after TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State, saying the receiver is expected to play next week and would give the team a lift. TCU enters conference competition with a 2-1 record, though Dwyer’s availability has not been confirmed beyond Dykes’ statement.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and was a key offensive contributor in 2025. He started every regular-season game, recording 54 receptions, 730 yards and seven touchdowns. His first game with the Horned Frogs included nine catches, 136 yards and a touchdown against North Carolina.
During Dwyer’s absence, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s leading receivers. Tight end Kari Ashley also made contributions against Arkansas State, giving quarterback Jaden Craig additional targets in the early games.
