The Houston Texans expect linebacker Henry To’oTo’o to miss time after a shoulder injury sustained in the team’s 36-31 Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Coach DeMeco Ryans provided the update on Sept. 14.
To’oTo’o left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return while the result was still undecided. He finished with two tackles. The linebacker recorded 95 total tackles during the 2025 season after surpassing 100 tackles in 2024.
The injury adds to concerns at linebacker for Houston. Troy Chapman of Over The Cap wrote on X that the development was not unexpected after seeing To’oTo’o wearing a sling. Garret Williams, posting as Houston Stressans, identified Wade Woodaz and Jake Hansen as possible options, though Hansen also was injured during the game.
The Texans did not provide additional details about To’oTo’o’s injury. The report is based on information from heavy.com.
