The NFL has imposed a fine of $500,000 on both the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints following a series of fights during a joint practice session. This decision comes after multiple altercations were reported, with over ten fights occurring, including pushing and shoving. Notably, Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected after throwing a punch, marking his second ejection during training camp.

The latest incident involved tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, which began when Ferguson reacted to a tackle and threw the ball at Overshown. According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, this confrontation was quickly resolved without further escalation.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed his dissatisfaction with the fights, highlighting that they hindered the team's practice objectives and stating, “We want to get the work in.”

With joint practices now concluded, the Cowboys are set to face the Arizona Cardinals in their next preseason game. Further information regarding player conditions or strategies was not disclosed.
