Avelo Airlines has announced plans to launch service from McKinney National Airport, with operations scheduled to begin in mid-November. The carrier will offer flights to five destinations across the United States, with specific start dates and frequencies established for each route.
Service to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers will commence first, beginning on Wednesday, November 11. These flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The airline will also begin flights to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas and Orlando International Airport on Thursday, November 12. The Las Vegas route will run four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Orlando service will operate five times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Additional routes to Fort Lauderdale and Tampa will start on Thursday, November 19. Flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will occur five times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Tampa International Airport route will be available four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
McKinney is located approximately 11 miles south of Anna. The new service expands options for travelers departing from the McKinney National Airport facility.
