Anna voters who want to cast a ballot early in town will have one place to do it when early voting for the Nov. 3 election begins Monday, Oct. 19: the multipurpose room at the Anna Community Library, 111 W. 5th St.

That is the only Anna address on Collin County's early voting list, which counts 42 sites countywide. On Election Day the library stays open as a vote center and two Anna ISD buildings join it: the training room in the district's Special Programs Building at 201 E. 7th St. and the Coyote Room at the Anna ISD Administration Building, 151 Rosamond Parkway.

Collin County uses vote centers, so a registered voter in the county can cast a ballot at any of its designated sites during early voting and on Election Day, according to the elections department.

Early voting hours

  • Monday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 23: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Sunday, Oct. 25: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Oct. 30: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Election Day polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The county lists Friday, Oct. 23, as the last day to apply for a mail ballot.

Other early sites nearby

The county's list includes several early voting locations a short drive from Anna, among them the multipurpose room at Melissa City Hall, 3411 Barker Ave.; the Steven and Judy Deffibaugh Community Center, 416 N. 4th St. in Princeton; the Blue Ridge ISD Administration Building; Collin College's Farmersville campus; and the elections office voting room at 2010 Redbud Blvd. in McKinney.

On the Anna ballot

City voters will decide Proposition A, which would authorize $60 million in general obligation bonds for street projects. The city says the money could pay for road construction and improvements, ADA compliance work and, in some cases, replacing water, wastewater and drainage lines under those streets. Sample ballots for each voter's precinct are posted on the county elections website.
