Four-run third puts Texas in control
The Rangers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third when Nimmo singled to right and Langford scored. Foscue followed with a triple to left that scored Nimmo and Burger, extending the lead to 3-0.
Díaz then doubled to left, bringing in Foscue for a 4-0 Texas lead. Those were the first four runs of the game, and they accounted for most of the Rangers’ offense in the final score.
Carson Whisenhunt took the loss for San Francisco, falling to 2-3. He allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
