Eight-Run Surge Seals Win

Osuna’s three-run home run in the eighth inning provided the decisive margin as the Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 8-3 on Wednesday. The Rangers, playing at home, overcame an early deficit and a tie game to pull away late, improving their record to 46-45. The Angels fell to 36-56.

The game began with the Rangers taking an early lead. In the first inning, Soler doubled to left field, driving in Schanuel to make it 1-0. Lowe followed with a single to center field, scoring Soler and extending the advantage to 2-0.

However, the Angels responded in the second inning. Lopez singled to left field, allowing Carter and Osuna to score. Lopez advanced to second base as the game tied at 2-2.

Pitching Duels and Tie Game

Pitching performances kept the game close through the middle innings. For the Angels, Jose Soriano pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs on two hits while striking out four batters. Tayler Saucedo worked the seventh, giving up one earned run on two hits with two strikeouts before being charged with the blown save. Sam Bachman entered in relief and struggled, allowing five earned runs on six hits in just two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss. Brent Suter pitched the final out of the eighth, striking out one batter.

For the Rangers, Jacob deGrom started, throwing five innings and allowing two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. Cole Winn pitched a perfect inning in relief, and Chris Martin allowed one earned run over one inning. Peyton Gray earned the win with a scoreless inning, striking out two batters. Tyler Alexander closed the game with a scoreless inning, also striking out two.

Late Inning Rally

The game remained tied until the seventh inning. Meckler singled to left field, scoring Peraza to give the Rangers a 3-2 lead. Foscue then homered to left field, 387 feet, tying the game at 3-3.

The eighth inning proved decisive for Texas. Duran singled to left field, scoring Smith and moving Burger to third. Foscue then singled to left field, scoring Burger and advancing Duran to second. The inning ended with Osuna homering to right field, 364 feet, driving in Duran and Foscue for a 3-8 final margin.

The game was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, with an attendance of 23,816. The Rangers' victory highlights their offensive capability in key moments, while the Angels continue to struggle with consistency in high-leverage situations.
