Nimmo's Five RBIs Power Rangers to Victory
Brandon Nimmo produced five runs batted in during the Texas Rangers' 8-5 victory over the Athletics at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The home team used a balanced offensive effort to secure the win, improving their record to 69-70. The Athletics fell to 53-86 in the contest. Attendance at the venue reached 24,253 fans.
Scoring Sequence and Key Plays
The Athletics took an early lead in the first inning when Nimmo doubled to left field, allowing Seager to score. The Rangers tied the game in the third with a single by Butler that drove in Gelof. Nimmo then singled to right field in the same frame to bring home Seager.
In the fifth inning, Nimmo singled again to score Pederson and Seager. Duran followed with a groundout that brought in Langford. The Rangers extended their lead in the sixth inning with three consecutive runs.
O'Hoppe hit a sacrifice fly to score Carter, Seager hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Diaz, and Nimmo singled to score Langford. The Athletics managed two runs in the late innings. Stefanic singled in the seventh to score Gelof, and Butler hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth to bring in Cortes.
McNeil homered to right center in the ninth, scoring Stefanic and adding two more runs to the total.
