Baylor football has unveiled its first depth chart for the 2026 season in advance of the opening match against Auburn. DJ Lagway is named the starting quarterback, with Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy as backups. Dawson Pendergrass will lead the running back position, with support from Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson.
At wide receiver, Louis Brown IV will start alongside either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter. Gavin Freeman is slated as the starting slot receiver, with Jayden McGowan backing him up. The tight end position will feature Matthew Klopfenstein, supported by Tony Livingston, Hawkins Polley, Parker Almanza, Kai Wesley, and Brody Wilhelm.
The offensive line will consist of Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki at center, Asher Hale at right guard, and Kaden Sieracki at right tackle, with backups for each spot.
On the defensive side, Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack will start at defensive end, while Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington will take on the defensive tackle role. Hosea Wheeler or Jamaal Whyce Jr. is set to start at nose tackle. The linebacker positions will feature Travion Barnes at MIKE, Kyland Reed at WILL, and either Ryan Davis or Garrick Ponder at JACK.
In the secondary, Devon Jordan and LeVar Thornton Jr. will be the starting cornerbacks, with either Colby McCalister or Tyler Turner at free safety and either Devin Turner or Jacob Redding at strong safety.
