Texas A&M Aggies head coach Mike Elko has announced that wide receiver Madden Williams will be out for the 2026 season due to a lower-body injury sustained during practice, requiring surgery. This injury marks the third wide receiver loss for the Aggies ahead of the season, adding to challenges for the team.
Williams was not in uniform for the season opener against Missouri State, joining safety Tawfiq Byard on the sidelines. Earlier in fall camp, Jonah Wilson was removed from the roster after transferring from Houston, and Jerome Myles, a former five-star recruit, left the program due to personal reasons after missing the entire 2025 season due to injury.
In light of Williams' absence, Texas A&M will depend on primary wide receivers Mario Craver, Isaiah Horton, and Ashton Bethel-Roman. Freshman Aaron Gregory made a notable contribution in the opener, catching a 15-yard touchdown pass.
Kelshaun Johnson and TK Norman will also have increased playing opportunities as the team evaluates its depth chart ahead of their upcoming games, including a matchup against LSU in Baton Rouge.
