The Houston Texans have announced the signing of running back Deuce Vaughn, previously with the Denver Broncos. Vaughn, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds, was on the Broncos' practice squad for the entire 2025 season after joining in September of the prior year. He re-signed with Denver on a reserve/future deal in January but was released in May.

After his departure from the Broncos, Vaughn played for the UFL's Orlando Storm before making his way back to the NFL with the Texans.

To make room for Vaughn, the Texans waived wide receiver Juwann Winfree, who also previously played for the Broncos. The team has also held workouts with former Denver player Josh Reynolds and running back Blake Watson, as noted in the NFL's transaction wire.

Currently, four other former Broncos practice squad members remain free agents following the expiration of their contracts in February. These include quarterback Ben DiNucci, tight ends Marcedes Lewis and Patrick Murtagh, and defensive back Delarrin Turner-Yell. Additionally, defensive lineman Jonathan Harris has recently had a workout with the Minnesota Vikings.

No further information has been disclosed regarding Vaughn's role with the Texans or Winfree's future endeavors.
