The Houston Texans have completed their 53-man roster, including undrafted rookie defensive end Sabastian Harsh. Initially, Harsh's prospects of joining the team appeared slim, but his dedication and impressive preseason performances earned him a place.

In a recent interview on Texans radio, Harsh shared his anxious wait for the roster announcement, mentioning a conversation with his parents before he saw the released roster. His standout showing against the Carolina Panthers in the second preseason game, where he achieved three tackles, a sack, a tackle for loss, two quarterback hits, and a pass breakup, significantly increased his chances of being selected.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans recognized Harsh's potential contributions in both pass rushing and run defense, which likely influenced the decision to include him on the roster. Despite this accomplishment, Harsh emphasized his desire for further growth, expressing that he still has much to accomplish.

As the regular season nears, he will have the opportunity to learn from experienced edge rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, with many observing his impact on the Texans' defense throughout the 2026 season.
