The Houston Texans have not determined whether wide receiver Nico Collins will play in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts after he missed his second consecutive practice with a hamstring injury. Houston has one practice left before Sunday’s game at Lucas Oil Stadium, but no final update was available.

Collins hurt the hamstring while preparing for Week 2 and missed Houston’s 36-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. In the Texans’ Week 1 loss to Buffalo, the 27-year-old caught seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. If he is unavailable again, Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson and Kayshon Boutte could see more opportunities.

Tight end Dalton Schultz has produced 175 receiving yards on 16 catches through two games, the team’s top downfield total.

Collins’ next chance would come in Week 4, with Houston set to host the Dallas Cowboys. He has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons, including 1,117 yards in 2025, and the injury threatens that run. Collins, who played for Michigan, also had his contract adjusted by the Texans during the offseason. Sports.yahoo.com published the report, which first appeared on ClutchPoints.
