The Houston Texans are considering linebacker Kenneth Murray for additional depth after Henry To'oTo'o sustained a shoulder injury. To'oTo'o is on injured reserve and is expected to miss several months. Houston also elevated Jamal Hill from its practice squad to the active roster.
Murray, 27, was the 23rd overall pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020 after receiving All-American recognition at Oklahoma. He moved to the Tennessee Titans in 2024 and paced that team in tackles. Dallas later acquired him from Tennessee in a trade that sent two draft picks to the Titans.
Murray started each of Dallas' 16 games last season. He produced 81 tackles, four tackles for loss, two pass breakups, one sack and one fumble recovery, finishing second on the Cowboys in tackles. Since the offseason began, he has had workouts with the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants as well.
Houston could use him on its practice squad and elevate him for games, but no deal was reported. The Texans are scheduled to host the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday at Reliant Stadium, with kickoff set for noon on CBS.
