Dalton Schultz, the tight end for the Houston Texans, sat out all three preseason contests. Along with Schultz, both wide receiver Nico Collins and running back David Montgomery were also absent, while quarterback C.J. Stroud had limited action during the game versus the Raiders on August 20.
Schultz is coming off a productive 2025 regular season, achieving a career-high 82 receptions and totaling 777 receiving yards, which is his best performance since the 2021 season with the Cowboys, where he recorded 808 yards.
With Jayden Higgins out for the entire 2026 season because of a knee injury and Tank Dell beginning the season on injured reserve, Schultz and Collins are anticipated to be significant targets for Stroud in the upcoming season.
Further information regarding the Texans' roster and injury updates remains unclear.
