The Houston Texans have announced the re-signing of tight end Louis Hansen. This is Hansen's second tenure with the team, as he was initially signed in June and subsequently waived in late July. His return did not require any roster adjustments.
Hansen, who went undrafted in April, played college football at both the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. During his collegiate career, he achieved 46 receptions for 463 yards and scored four touchdowns over 40 games.
The Texans' current tight end lineup features Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Details about Hansen's specific role within the team have not yet been disclosed.
