Additionally, ESPN insider Dan Graziano pointed out that there was minimal interest from other teams in signing Pickens to an offer sheet when the Cowboys placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on him. Tomlin noted that while the Steelers did not pursue a second contract with Pickens, it does not rule out the possibility of him becoming an outstanding player in the future.
