Jackson, who hails from Greenwood, Indiana, previously played for Indiana University for two seasons. He had an impressive high school career at Center Grove before spending time at the Tennessee football program in 2022. After his tenure at IU, he transferred to the University of Central Florida for the 2025 season, where he recorded a career-high of 2,151 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.
In addition to his football background, Jackson has a personal connection to IU as the younger sibling of former IU basketball player Trayce Jackson-Davis, who has stated he will attend the game to cheer on his brother.
