As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the start of the 2026 NFL season, the team is largely healthy, having avoided significant injuries during the offseason. However, two players are currently managing injuries that may affect their availability for the season opener.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard is dealing with an abs/groin injury. Reports indicate he was involved in rehabilitation activities on September 1, suggesting a possibility of playing in the first game, though he may require more time to recover fully.
Guard Ajani Cornelius, who has shown potential during training camp, also missed practice on September 2. He was seen doing rehab work on September 1, which implies he could be ready for the opener, contingent on his recovery progress.
Additionally, linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore have been placed on injured reserve. Liufau suffered a fractured forearm that necessitated surgery, while Moore is coping with a hip injury following previous groin issues. Both players will be unavailable for a minimum of four weeks. Updates regarding Bullard and Cornelius are anticipated as the week continues.
