Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday that safety Jalen Thompson is expected to miss at least four weeks with a hamstring injury. The team has not said whether it will place Thompson on injured reserve, although he is considered a possible candidate for the list.
Thompson left Dallas’ 34-31 loss to the Ravens in Rio de Janeiro after being hurt in the second quarter. The injury further reduces the Cowboys’ options at safety.
Malik Hooker has been out for the last two games because of a forearm injury, while P.J. Locke went on injured reserve Saturday with a foot injury. Thompson had played every defensive snap through Dallas’ first nine-plus quarters of the season before leaving Sunday’s game. He had totaled 17 tackles.
