Local Football Player Airlifted to Hospital After Practice Incident

A student-athlete from Crandall High School was airlifted following a practice injury.

A student-athlete from Crandall High School was airlifted to a hospital after an injury occurred during practice, as reported by Crandall Independent School District. A medical helicopter was sent to land near the baseball fields at the high school to assist in transporting the injured player for additional medical care.

Crandall ISD conveyed its concern, stating, "Our thoughts are with the student and the student's family," and asked the community to respect their privacy during this difficult time. The specifics regarding the injury and the events leading up to it have not been made public. WFAA has contacted the district for further information, but additional details remain unclear.
