Construction commenced Tuesday for Rosamond Town Center in Anna, marking the start of a new retail development by Big V Property Group and The Seitz Group. The ceremony took place at 10 a.m. at the southeast corner of Rosamond Parkway and Highway 75, with attendees including Anna Mayor Pete Cain and executives from the developers and Citizens Bank.
The 355,826-square-foot open-air center will feature anchors including Academy Sports + Outdoors, Aldi, Burlington, EOS Fitness, Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, PetSmart, and T.J. Maxx. This project complements the nearby Rosamond Crossing, which includes a 175,300-square-foot Kroger and other tenants. Together, the two sites form part of a larger 750,000-square-foot complex in Collin County.
Developers noted the project is advancing nearly a year ahead of schedule. Anna is currently the fifth fastest-growing U.S. city with a population over 20,000, while Collin County has seen significant population increases. Big V Property Group stated these are its first ground-up developments, though details regarding specific financing terms or additional tenant leases were not provided.
