Dominant Offensive Display
Yainer Diaz delivered one of four home runs for the Houston Astros as they secured an 11-2 victory over the Texas Rangers at Daikin Park. The offensive explosion was driven by a flurry of power hitting that overwhelmed the Rangers' pitching staff throughout the afternoon.
The scoring began in the second inning when the Rangers took a brief 3-0 lead. Adolis Garcia doubled, bringing one runner home, and later in the frame, Corey Seager added two more runs with a single that scored both Garcia and Marcus Semien. The Rangers extended their advantage to 4-0 in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Josh Smith.
Astros Rally With Power
Houston finally broke through in the fifth inning. Yordan Alvarez hit a home run to left-center field, cutting the deficit to 4-1. Immediately after, Alex Bregman followed with another home run to left-center, tying the game at 4-4 and shifting momentum firmly toward Houston.
The Astros took control in the sixth inning when Jose Altuve launched a home run to right-center field, giving Houston a 5-4 lead. The Rangers responded with a run in the bottom of the sixth on a ground-rule double by Jonah Heim that scored one runner, making it 6-5.
Late Inning Surge
The game remained close until the seventh inning, where Houston's offense unleashed a barrage of runs. Diaz homered to left-center field, extending the lead to 7-5. Two batters later, Michael Brantley doubled to left, driving in two more runs to make it 9-5. Paredes then singled to right, adding another run for a 10-5 advantage.
