A Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Amarillo is preparing to expand its dining area to accommodate more guests. The project involves adding 848 square feet to the existing structure, a change detailed in a document filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The filing describes the work as a modification that includes an extension to the current dining room.
Construction is scheduled to begin on September 14, with an estimated cost of $125,000. The document lists December 14 as the anticipated completion date for the renovation. These updates are intended to increase seating capacity and improve the overall flow for customers.
Rebecca Romero, the managing partner for the Amarillo location, explained that the additional space will allow the restaurant to install eight new tables. She stated that this expansion will enable the staff to serve more guests and reduce wait times during busy periods. Romero noted that the changes are designed to help the team feed more people efficiently.
In addition to the dining room changes, the restaurant aims to improve the experience for customers picking up orders. Romero indicated that the project will provide more parking spaces designated for takeout, creating a smoother process for those collecting their meals. The focus of the upgrade is on both increasing indoor capacity and enhancing the convenience of the pickup area.
