Texas Roadhouse leadership has confirmed that the company intends to expand its grocery product lineup in 2027, with potential further additions planned for 2028. CEO Jerry Morgan stated that research and development efforts are currently underway to introduce new items to retail shelves.

The expansion focuses on bringing restaurant-inspired foods into homes rather than opening new dining locations. Morgan explained that the company identified a strong consumer desire for products that evoke the Texas Roadhouse experience, even when consumed away from their restaurants.

The chain’s retail presence has grown significantly over the past five years, increasing from a small selection to more than ten distinct items. Current offerings include famous rolls, honey cinnamon buttery spread, steak sauce, beef jerky, peanut brittle, fried pickle dip, and garlic parmesan mini rolls, which were added this year.

These products are distributed through major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, and H-E-B. One of the earliest successes in this category was the Texas Roadhouse Margarita Mixer, which is now available at over 800 stores.

Morgan noted that the retail segment originated after the company recognized customer demand for branded goods outside its dining establishments. The initiative gained momentum as the business expanded into selling peanuts before the pandemic, prompting a more serious approach to supermarket operations.

The company emphasizes that its grocery items are designed to reflect the food and atmosphere found in its restaurants. Morgan described the products as being inspired by made-from-scratch restaurant items, aiming to strengthen the connection customers feel with the brand.

Specific details regarding the new 2027 product lineup have not yet been disclosed. The exact nature of the upcoming items remains unclear at this time.
