Baylor Bears quarterback Nate Bennett completed 23 of 35 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns to lead the home team to a 44-3 victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The dominant performance at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas, resulted in Baylor improving its record to 1-1, while Prairie View A&M fell to 1-2.
With an attendance of 38,642, the Bears controlled the pace of the game from the opening whistle, outscoring the visitors 44 points to 3.
First-Half Dominance
The Bears established early momentum, jumping ahead 17-3 in the first quarter. After Prairie View A&M’s Ethan Eddins kicked a 25-yard field goal to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead, Baylor responded immediately. Rhett Armstrong tied the game with a 46-yard field goal.
Caden Knighten then ran for a 5-yard touchdown, and Jayden McGowan caught a 33-yard pass from Bennett to extend the lead. The second quarter saw continued offensive production, as Dre'lon Miller caught a 22-yard pass from Bennett for a touchdown. Bennett added a 17-yard rushing touchdown himself, and Armstrong converted a 45-yard field goal to make it 34-3 at the half.
